Having said all of that, 'Moonlight in Vermont' succeeds in many areas too. Occasionally the dialogue is on the corny side and the ending is slightly too neat.

And also on the lightweight side, meaning on the slightly thin side and also where it is all wonderfully pleasant and polite with lots of charm but also with not a lot of depth or goal. Story-wise, it is very formulaic, where most plot points are foreseeable well before they happen (due to Hallmark doing them a number of times before). 'Moonlight in Vermont' isn't mind blowing. Much better than the previous 2017 Spring Fever film 'Love at First Bark', which didn't do much for me despite liking the leads elsewhere. Despite not being all that wowed by the story when reading the synopsis, and even on film it is still not the most exceptional of stories, 'Moonlight in Vermont' is a very charming and easy to digest film as long as not too much is expected. And she is watchable here, more than that even. Chabert is one of the most popular regular Hallmark actors and it is not hard to see why, while not all her films are great or even good perhaps she is always watchable. Have begun seeing fairly recently Hallmark's non-Christmas output and it's been an interesting endeavour, though like the Christmas quest it's been hit and miss with some good, some bad and some somewhere in between. Webber is a long-time officer of the Royal Canadian Legion and a past officer of the Sunshine Coast Salmon Enhancement Society. There were two main reasons for seeing 'Moonlight in Vermont', Hallmark film completest sake and Lacey Chabert. He's caught some fish, released many more, raised some children and built a few houses. Nearly twenty years ago, Webber moved to a small rural community northwest of Vancouver, surrounded by some of the finest salmon fishing beaches in the world. He has received three Gemini Award nominations, one Genie Award nomination, and (now) four Leo Award nominations (most recently for Hallmark Channel's "Cedar Cove"), including a win for his work on "Cold Squad." Some feature film highlights are: "The Grey Fox," "Ticket to Heaven," "The Wars," "One Magic Christmas," "My Father's Angel" (Genie Award Nominee), "Married Life" and most recently, "Seventh Son," where he was fortunate to work with one of his longtime heroes, Jeff Bridges.

He spent six years on the iconic hit series "North of 60," was a regular on "Men In Trees" and recently concluded his third season on the CBC series, "Arctic Air." Three episodes of "X-Files," "Stargate," "Twilight Zone," "DaVinci's Inquest" and too many more to list, have all had the alleged benefits of his talents. In television he has worked on many series in Montréal, Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary.

Highlights include: Warm Wind in China at the Neptune Theatre in Halifax, Gulls at Festival Antigonish and most recently, Mourning Dove for GCTC in Ottawa. Thirty-five years later he looks back on a career that, despite some lean years, has served him well. What followed were three years at the Dome Theatre School in Montreal.Īfter graduation, he began plying his trade during the then-infancy of the film and television industry in Canada. While both paths promised rewarding journeys of the heart and spirit, the transition to the more dramatic of the two was swift and certain.

While considering following in the footsteps of his forefathers, he took the fateful step of joining an amateur theatre company at Memorial University of Newfoundland. This, he feels, has served him well in his chosen profession.
